*
I hear the thunder oh so clear,
I see the lightning striking near.
I swear to every god I hold dear,
It was not I who called you near.
*
Your eyes are pale as mine are dark.
This is no foolish children's lark,
And as these words they will so mark,
You shall walk within my heart.
*
My naked soul before your altar lays,
I do not care what they may say.
The wolf on the hill begins to bay.
I may never see another sunny day.
*
Come unto me with eyes on fire,
We'll dance to the music of the lyre.
I know my life is now most dire.
My spirit has been lent for hire.
*
Prophecy my gift to all has been,
You smile above the laughter's din.
As your need leads me to sin,
Now your heart I must ever win.
*
I say to all that I hold holy,
Bring him to my side most lonely.
Bind us not in passion only,
Let our souls enjoin fully.
*
Your touch is like fine satin.
The words were vowed in Latin.
Your kiss to fire I most liken.
To your side I shall harken.
*
Hold me through the velvet night.
Please love me with all your might.
Never stray too far from sight.
Carry me up to passion's height.
*
And when all is said and done,
When my soul has rose and sung,
And my heart does seem to weigh a ton,
Love's last war will have finally won.
*
I'll lay within your arms so strong,
As my soul on velvet wings is borne,
And never more my heart to long,
No more is my love forlorne
*
Joy to your life I shall bring,
My heart you shall ever let sing.
Together all the bells shall ring.
Time's pendulum begins to swing.
*
We will complete each other's fate.
Although this love has come quite late,
I know within my soul you are my mate.
We are each other's final fate.
