Shall We?

by Janice Scott-Reeder

Come to me in the heat of a man.

Be enveloped in my dark blood passion.

Rise up through my sighing breath,

and rule the facets of my mind,

as I utter the magic of love's runes,

And in your eyes I see your soul.

Together we rise above the body's limits,

and test the true nature of the Universe,

in ever recreating patterns

of our mind's soul blended.

As sigh is louder than the cannon's bay.

A tear is stronger than acid burns.

Your look is deep as the sea;

My passion brighter than the sun.

Shall we burn together in moonlight pale,

or pass a shadows in the mid day sun?

Choose my love and do so quickly,

for we are but fireflies on dusk's twilight,

and as such, wait for no man to teach

the blending of our minds.
